Pros

Walmart will let you progress quickly if you’re trying to climb the ladder. Salaried managers have a great PTO package and better bonus incentives. Also, they pay for college 100% if you don’t already have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Cons

Sometimes the work can be monotonous. Expectations are unusually high and unrealistic occasionally. Not a bad place to work, but it’s retail so work life balance may suffer some.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
