Advancement opportunities, skillset diversification opportunities, benefits and incentives.

Cons

As the company navigated extensive restructuring in an attempt to gain a competitive edge against e-commerce giants, the visioned company culture was not sustained at the store level. At our location, the changes were rolled out with loosely defined responsibilities and unrealistic expectations, making the execution of new roles unduly challenging. In addition, the drastic shift changes and demanding availability requirements affected employee' overall well-being and ability to perform to their potential at work. In combination, the mental and physical strain of frequently shifting expectations resulted in a toxic workplace culture rather than one in which everyone felt a sense of belonging.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
