Pros

Coworkers are courteous, professional, and treat team members with a great deal of respect. My friends from India were wonderful people, and it was an honor to work with them.

Cons

The employees of the client that you serve, or any independent contractor, can treat you as they wish. Harassment is allowed to continue, possibly for years, regardless of complaints or requests for help resolving the situation. Management will not help you for fear of angering the client. Their harassment policy states the opposite. Wipro managers are project managers, not 'people' managers. You'll be expected to tolerate anything, and say nothing. I worked over 1,000 hours of overtime in year 2016. I was on call constantly and globally. I sometimes started work at midnight, worked all night to resolve issues in Europe, then started my regular shift in the U.S. This company underbids to get a contract, then works the employees to death to mitigate their losses. All employees received the same 0.95% raise in 2016, regardless of performance. You'll have too many mangers to count when they need something, and no managers when you need something. At the end of several years, they hired my replacement at a lower salary rate, expected me to train full time, do my technical job full-time, and lead my team full-time. I was layed off and replaced by a lower paid worker, whom I regard as a friend. Wipro does not pay severance. I've worked in the corporate world for 30 years, and have never had a more frustrating experience. Note that these are my opinions, based on my experience, including a cease and desist letter regarding harassment, which I sent to Wipro management several times, receiving no replies or action taken. Shameful performance of the management team.

Pros

Good place for freshers and early‑career professionals to learn technologies, processes, and client interaction, with “huge opportunities for learning new things.”

Cons

Onboarding for freshers can be slow and confusing, with delays before real project allocation

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
