Pros

Rotation in two departments and formation of the cohorts help understand the organisation, structure and management very well. Having access to the big in the inception of a career really triggers your curiosity, increase your knowledge and boosts your confidence. Very flexible in terms of communicating to seniors(all levels, including CFO) and in terms of working timings. This pros has its cons that it makes the company slightly less organised. But, this is out shadowed by its pros. A free mind can think upon a lot of great ideas. You can customise your working style, there is no swipe in pr swipe out. This really works for highly self motivated individuals. Being an Indian MNC, you will get a hint of cultural environment and homely environment. Thus, it is not a polished company where you will always have to dress formals and speak with sophistication. Good company to hone interpersonal skills. In most of the corporates you have to be dealt with politics and favouritism. Here it becomes quite open because of access to huge network horizontally and vertically. Have recently increased the compensation and will continue to do so, I suppose. Because, they are getting highly choosy for COHORTs

Cons

Only Wipro Cohorts program is good, other than that it is not. Provided that you get a good department of your choice. Rotation involves a lot of politics and favouritism. Guess, no MNC is clean in that way( as I have friends in a lot of other companies and big firms too). Moreover, good thing is this can be talked about and discussed. Will be heard only if you have good connections. It's a growing company and lot of changes and transformations keep taking place(think of a big start-up), while it is good for acquiring PODSCOR skills quickly, but it depends on how much responsibilities you end up getting. And more responsibilities mean more dedication to work hours. Have groups of responsibility basis qualifications such as CA, MBA and BCom. Slow transformation. It should speed up.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
