Pros
Yandex has a very high upward mobility culture. If you are ambitious and are willing to work hard, it is very easy to become a dev lead / dev manager. Compensation is pretty good by the Russian standards, the top levels make about the same as their Bay area counterparts.
Cons
Way too many PMs! They go by different names (Project Managers, Product Managers, Analysts, etc.), the overall ratio is like 2 devs per 1 PM - unheard of.
