Pros

Develops resilience, learn the basics of running a business, the job is very simple anyone could do it.

Cons

On my first day I was asked to write a positive review on this website. Take any positive reviews with a pinch of salt. Zero work life balance. You will work anywhere from 60-80 hours a week. No overtime pay even though you are contracted to 50 hours a week. No understanding from senior managers about daily life in branches. Constant struggle getting enough cars for the number of deals you have each day. Salary is very poor until you became a area manager, that’ll take you 10 years. No rewards for hard work. Promotion is based on who likes you not what you know. If you mention you are not happy or maybe looking for a new job you will be quietly forced out. Enterprise is a 24 hour a day business which is still being attempted to run in a 10 hour day. Cleaning cars is part of your job. Enterpise will offer anything to customers for positive feed back. A word that rhymes with jibe.

Pros

Fantastic team to work with Quarterly nights out with big budgets Quick career progression

Cons

Long (illegally long) hours You're easily replaced Unpaid overtime expected Loads of driving No breaks (so expect 12+ hour shifts on no food or water) Have to work weekends Start work before your family and finish after them Less than minimum wage once you take into account your overtime Sexism covered up with their 'Women in Rental' events

Pros

Great team work - Training is good You will learn a lot in this company regarding how to run a company and this will set you up, and the training really is second to none. You will work with great people, as it tends to be work hard/play hard types, and those guys will get you through the gruelling weeks!

Cons

Incredibly long hours - High pressure - You're just a number - burnout is likely. In the Cumbria offices, you will regularly (consistently) work 60-80 hour weeks; this does mean driving when you are exhausted at times - dangerous. The role is very high-pressured, especially when you are day-running and you don't have enough cars in the lot and you have to keep accepting deals. Be prepared to help clean cars in your nice suit no matter whether it is rain, snow or sunshine!
