Pros
Epic grants a lot of latitude to make your career there what you want of it. You can stick pretty narrowly to specific work you enjoy within your role and team, or work broadly across projects, teams, and roles to mix things up and gain experience in new areas. No matter what you do, you get a sense that you're making an impact on healthcare in the world. It can be challenging, because healthcare is challenging, but helping our users - doctors, providers, patients - be successful using Epic's software to improve healthcare is rewarding. Your coworkers are intelligent, the campus is fantastical, the food is great, and the benefits are stellar.
Cons
Certainly not that different from many other jobs, but you will need to have your time & workload management skills in order or else become overwhelmed as work piles up. Know your boundaries and communicate with your manager and others requesting work of you, or people are just going to assume you've got time to take more work on.
