Pros

There are so many intelligent people from all across the country who work here. I made great friends who are incredibly motivated, supportive, and driven.

Cons

TLDR: Constant overtime to get everything done due to artificially accelerated timelines due to clients’ budget restraints; rushed pipeline of poor managers due to high turnover. The constant overtime was exhausting and led to my burnout. Project timelines were tight because of budgetary restrictions on the client side, making days feel compressed due to a high volume of meetings. I had to work overtime to get tasks done on time for artificially accelerated due dates. Additionally, my manager was incredibly inexperienced when it came to managing people, and she made an already stressful situation 10x worse because of unrealistic expectations and coddling the client. Because of high turnover, Epic promotes inexperienced individuals into application managers quickly, creating a downstream effect of poorly managed application coordinators, and many of my AC friends shared similar experiences of facing large stress due to their managers being unreliable.

Pros

Great benefits like health insurance, campus life, food, and stock options. It also comes with a competitive salary that is good for an entry level employee. It is a great way to gain exposure to the workplace and gives a lot of opportunities to work with different softwares

Cons

Simple don't hire enough employees and everyone seems overworked. The expectation is 45hrs per week and the average project manager works 50+. Project managers are often stretched too thin and can't fully support the customers they are staffed to despite that being the customers expectations. They are building a multimillion dollar campus that isn't really needed because most employees are happy sharing an office, but they still don't want to hire additional employees.
