Great compensation/benefits, beautiful work environment, great support services like IT and Culinary. Decent training, opportunities to grow and advance.

Cons

Poor middle management, unclear expectations, low employee morale, work if often tedious, frustrating and long.

Pros

Lots of autonomy and responsibility right from the start. Good pay, especially considering the low cost of living in Madison. Co-workers are typically young, smart, and motivated.

Cons

High turnover rate, the implementation role is never really sold as a long-term career. Many of the type-A people Epic hires confuse 70 hour work weeks with productive work weeks.

You are given lots of room to grow professionally, and take on new projects. You don't get managers micromanaging you. The pay and benefits are good.

Cons

The work is mentally challenging. It is definitely not for everyone. You don't get much direction sometimes and it can be challenging to figure out what needs to be done. The workload can be crushing at times.
