Pros

You are well mentored, but given real work within a few months after initial training. There are high standards and an expectation that you meet them, but you will be well compensated for it. Travel is not a large portion of the position, but you do have a chance to travel to various regions of the country customers.

Cons

Work can be overwhelming at times. Sometimes choices of who goes into management are puzzling.

Pros

Great fundamentals and a ton of hands on experience working with extremely distinguished doctors and hospital administrators. Fast development curve from all the experience, and a ton of real responsibility from day 1.

Cons

A bunch of kool-aid drinkers. The culture is so "awe shucks" that it makes you want to puke. The only people who really like the software is the people who buy it, and most users are disengaged and upset and resentful. Reports don't work. There is a massive difference in how Epic perceives itself vs how it actually is. You get burned out easily, and evaluation doesn't take into consideration a miserable or complex project

Pros

* They have some of the best co-workers you'll meet. * Opportunities to develop deep client relationships * Beautiful campus that encourages walking around (and an amazing employee cafeteria) * A no-BS attitude for hiring and a willingness to train the new employees

Cons

* They work you really hard (to be expected) and don't really have a good way to get yourself back on track if you have struggles early on. * Working with multiple clients and balancing that with internal work leaves you constantly unsatisfied
