Pros

Working at Epic is a great way to go from college kid to responsible adult very quickly. You are bestowed a lot of responsibility and are expected to rise to the occasion by other smart, driven employees. The quirky culture is one-of-a-kind.

Cons

As a project manager you'll be expected to travel a lot and work more than 40 hours a week (often it's closer to 50 or 60). Life outside of work can easily fall to the wayside. It's typical to be anxious to get back to work all the time, and that's because Epic only hires people who challenge themselves and those around them.

Pros

Challenging work environment, constant opportunities to grow, try new things, and find the overlap between your goals and what you are good at. Very reliable co-workers. I think anyone would learn a ton at Epic, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Cons

Unreasonable customer expectations--a major part of the culture is meeting customer expectations (which is a good thing), but we don't consistently re-set to make sure those expectations are realistic for turnaround times, level of engagement, or Epic functionality. If you don't set your own boundaries, no one will do it for you.

Pros

One of the best starting jobs you can get out of college IMO. You can travel, have great independence, eat in fancy restaurants for free, help customers who are basically incompetent.

Cons

Expectations are somewhat ridiculous. If your customer does not like you you will greatly suffer. You have to live in Madison WI. People here are somewhat weird for some reason (it probably has something to do with the type of person willing to move to Wisconsin
