Pros

Food. Pay for the Midwest area

Cons

Horrible leadership. Attempting to get rid of people voicing their concerns based on the "company culture". Not a real tech company.

Pros

Good pay Good culinary Neat campus Meaningful work

Cons

Management refers to us as a "software factory"; it's all about productivity. Extreme inflexibility when it comes to working from home. The response to Covid-19 has been abysmal - Epic dragged its feet allowing people to work from home when recommended by local authorities. Now they are trying to push people back into the office as soon as possible. Response to local school districts starting the school year virtual was that parents should make sure to find childcare so they can return to the office at their scheduled time. Took an email from a parent resource group with 400 survey responses to allow either working part-time or taking a leave of absence, rather than just allowing working from home.

Pros

You get to work with smart people. Interesting problems to solve. You make a difference for people using Epic's medical software. Pay is good for the area.

Cons

Fast paced, high stress environment. Nowhere near enough vacation time. CEO is quirky and stubborn, and likes to do things exactly her way which is not necessarily the best way. Right now trying to get everyone back on campus because "collaboration", which makes zero sense as everyone will be doing remote meetings anyway. Company does not care for their employees.
