Pros

I'm surprised about how many doors are open to me @ Epic. I don't want to sound like a big homer, but there's always something new for me to dive into and get dirty with. Compensation jumped quickly and you can rise fast in a variety of different ways. The campus, food, travel perks, flexibility in working hours and lack of micromanagement make for an awesome place to work.

Cons

Very few of the software developers can think outside of the box and many are disconnected from how their tools ACTUALLY function. It creates a huge struggle with those that are implementing the product.

Pros

The benefits are fantastic, and the work can be interesting. The campus is gorgeous. You work with a lot of really smart people.

Cons

If you aren't friends with the right people, it can be very hard to move up. Not a great place to work if you are considering starting a family while you're there.

Pros

As an implementer, you have to learn a lot very quickly. While the nature of what you learn changes, this general phenomenon never stops. Accordingly, it's great for growth. The physical environment is very quirky, the dress code is nonexistent, and the fringe benefits are great. Coworkers are competent and helpful - this is not typical for all companies, especially what one would expect from Epic's demographics. This is a blessing. They put the customer first - employees know it, customers know it. I would certainly work with a company like Epic as a customer.

Cons

Internal management structure is too loose to be consistent or helpful - and this is the biggest source, I'd say, of employees not feeling valued. Management's interpretation of policy varies from boss to boss and it's easy to get screwed.
