Pros

High levels of responsibility, challenging and rewarding work, great work environment, smart co-workers. Strategic direction is set to benefit patients and health care organizations, not investors.

Cons

People who have worked hard in the past or are in control of their schedules will be fine - I feel balanced most of the time. People who have never worked or have expectations that someone else will manage their time/schedule might get frazzled.

Pros

The benefits at Epic are outstanding. Plus it is good for self starters that don't need a lot of supervision and can get work done on their own.

Cons

The work-life balance can get out of control. With this, there are ups and downs and it's important to set rules and guidelines for yourself so you don't get burned out.

Pros

Agile company, rewarded for solid outcomes, intelligent co-workers, great facilities, young culture (not specifically young people- although there are those- but prides itself on being cutting edge/flexible/open to new ideas), solid benefits, always something new to work on

Cons

Rapid growth has resulted in some growing pains. Company culture does not translate completely into company policies that have been developed in response to handling growth. Work-life balance tends to be significantly mis-weighted.
