Pros

Strong global brand with deep roots in telecom leadership. Collaborative culture where cross-functional teams work closely across regions. Great exposure to enterprise transformation through 5G, private networks, and cloud solutions. Flexible work environment with opportunities to work remotely and manage global projects. Diverse and inclusive workforce, offering a mix of perspectives and learning opportunities.

Cons

Leadership misalignment with enterprise goals. The current enterprise and private 5G business units are led by individuals with primarily strategy or consulting backgrounds rather than direct enterprise management and sales experience. This has resulted in a lack of commercial execution and limited traction in building a sustainable enterprise business. Sales leadership gaps have slowed down Ericsson’s ability to position itself as a competitive enterprise solutions provider compared to more agile industry peers. The company would benefit from bringing in experienced enterprise GM and sales leaders and hire people with proven track records in scaling business outcomes and building customer-focused organizations.

Pros

Good company for first post-graduate job. Good benefits - healthcare and pension. Nice office.

Cons

If you get stuck in a bad team, with a toxic manager, you may potentially be stuck doing the same work - not ideal when you're looking for a new role after this. Micromanagement seems common. HR is only for the company, not the employees, never forget that, Hybrid policy is very rigid - if you live far away, there are no accommodations, in terms of travelling, or financially. Depending on the team, it may feel like your work is meaningless and that no one cares what you do.

Pros

- Strong engineering/R&D-driven culture and the company is a technical leader in the telecom industry - Excellent benefits and generous PTO (though trending downward) - Reasonable work/life balance, depending on your team - Market leadership in the telecom space (for now) - Rare but possible global mobility opportunities (difficult for US employees)

Cons

- Aging workforce and poor talent pipeline: the company struggles to attract young U.S. talent, and internal career advancement is limited - Frustrating experience for early career hires — many feel stuck or end up leaving - Increasingly ineffective and disconnected management: Recent leadership additions show little long-term vision, empathy, or loyalty - Push for return-to-office and Plano consolidation is hypocritical — several leaders live in remote, non-hub locations themselves - The global company is overly focused on publicly aligning with conservative political trends, particularly in Texas — a bizarre choice for a European company trying to rebrand as an innovative global tech player - Swedish cultural values that once set the company apart are totally absent in U.S. offices - Heavy and growing dependence on outsourcing, which undermines quality and continuity - Once-premium benefits are quietly declining year after year
