Pros

well established world leader in networks and telecom Opportunities for hardware interfacing (BLM and Smart Edge) Above average pay, benefits and events Good mentors and very competent team leads

Cons

I worked as a contractor and I often found a deliberate seclusion of information from contract employees. The opportunities to convert to full time are rare as the company believes in training new grads to fit into certain roles. New features are widely spaced and the time in between can get boring... running sanity tests, solving customer issues etc. etc.

Pros

1. Very less work 2. Good place to relax when you feel you have worked more 3. Exposure to Large Scale Telecom software systems 4. Trying to work in Agile way 5. Yearly one office Sponsored Outing 6. Parties / Dinners for every release 7. Decent Pay 8. Exposure to Open source technologies

Cons

1. Poor Roadmap, you are hired for one technology you end up working in other technology. 2. You tend to forget the technical stuff that you already know, unless you are motivated enough to do some learning on your own. 3. No travel opportunities 4. Typical Politics in Play in the Mid Management Level 5. Abuse of Agile, Mid management over fits waterfall in to agile 6. Lethargic Recruiting Strategy, Many people do not have work in the areas of their specialization. 7. Spikes of work at times of Releases and Middle Management expects you to work over late nights and Weekends to finish it
