Pros

Very few if you live anywhere other than Athlone.

Cons

Hybrid work policy . underhanded practices, reviewing your hybrid exemption behind your back and confirmed from management that no one will have on in the new year. Work is slow, you won't be always learning and growing unless you find some way outside of work. Line managers and upper management do not care about you or your growth. There is no fostering a good culture here, just throw buzzwords about.

It is not Cradlepoint anymore

Pros

Cradlepoint had an awesome culture, engineering teams and sales teams. Then Ericsson bought it...

Cons

Ericsson ruined Cradlepoint. Every Cradlepoint leader (CEO, CFO, CPO, CMO) along with almost every SVP/VP in the company is now gone. Ericsson came in and placed their own Swedish team at the top and lost the hearts and minds of the employees. They are living off the fly-wheel from the previous teams. They have a terrible culture where the leader is self-centered and focused on her own career above all others.

Pros

One of the best parts of working here was my team. I was lucky to be surrounded by incredibly talented, hardworking, and supportive colleagues who made coming to work enjoyable. The collaboration within my team was always strong, and we consistently went above and beyond to deliver results. However, challenges outside the team made it difficult to thrive. Leadership lacked clear direction, and the changes brought by the new ownership made day-to-day operations more complicated. Career growth opportunities were limited, and recognition for hard work was often lacking. If you’re joining a team with great coworkers, you’ll likely have a positive experience. But be prepared to navigate organizational challenges and unclear leadership priorities.

Cons

I’ve never written a Glassdoor review before, but after what this company has done, I felt compelled. Laying off 200 employees right before the holidays is not only heartless but speaks volumes about the kind of company this has become. This used to be a proud American company until it was taken over by European leadership. Since the takeover, the company has been in complete disarray. Leadership is ineffective and clueless, constantly changing directions without any clear vision. Career growth opportunities have vanished, bonuses are nonexistent, and morale is at an all-time low. After Ericsson took over, managing IT equipment became a logistical nightmare. The processes became convoluted, and the leadership brought in had no understanding of the existing systems or the employees who kept them running. Even after laying off hundreds of people, there has been no communication about next steps, leaving those affected in limbo during the holiday season. It’s incredibly disheartening to see what this company has become under its new leadership. For anyone considering joining this sinking ship , don’t. You deserve better.
