Pros

Interesting responsibilities but terrible HR policy that does not value high performers or retaining top talent.

Cons

Working for the EU is past the good old glory days. HR policies that are focused on cutting personnel costs as much as possible due to the lack of budgets are turning the EU in a terrible, undesirable employer. Also, the huge amounts of work and understaffed teams mean that employees are stretched across long working hours, until very late in the evenings. Official working hours do not matter, what matters is that the huge workload is processed, even if that means working evenings and weekends (without any compensation).
