HR is condescending and treat you like a number, unfortunately my manager was new and went straight to HR but other managers know better as most people don't get fired, rather get warnings and time for reconciliation then if all fails then get terminated. Work socials feel compulsory as it helps bond teams but isn't that what work is for, I've noticed that they spend more time with colleagues than people outside of work. Not a good place for work life balance, definitely consumes you
