Pros

Good, basic benefits such as health insurance, 401k including 401k contributions. Nice, modern, enviro-friendly building. Free coffee and soft drinks. Some nice coworkers.

Cons

So many companies think they have the most brilliant people. Expedia thinks so, too. It isn't true. The people aren't smarter than anyone else, though you might think so from their arrogant attitude. The technology is pathetically outdated, I am sorry to say. And they really lowball you with salary. Contractors also terribly underpaid. Travel benefits not as wonderful as you might expect.

Pros

Expedia is a company full of brilliant people who love the travel industry. The senior leadership is light-your-hair-on-fire smart. The direction of the team is clear. And we're raging to win. There are few global companies with as much room to grow and learn as Expedia. If you're focused, willing to work hard and enjoy learning and accomplishment, this is a great company for you.

Cons

Not for those who don't like working hard.

Pros

You get to work on one of the emblema of the online travel industry. Shipping live a product is always a great moment of accomplishement. Certain managers reaylly nurture their teams and foster a very dydnamic atmosphere where you want to give your very best,

Cons

The process to get project approved is cumbersome and very bureaucratic. The approval system tends to turn like the UN where no consensus is never reached nor followed in the rare occasions that make the par. You start the year with 100+ key projects but you know that 3/4 of them will not actually be delivered because of change of focus, people attrition and constant strategy changes that leads to a bad morale among employees. too much politics and a lot of great people have been departing the company since 3-4 years now and knowledge is not passed away when these people leave.
