Pros

These things are extremely team-dependent. My manager was crazy, and she made everyone in the team crazy. I worked here for 5 months and there were no pros.

Cons

Never ending. HR is extremely corrupt. They would go to any lengths to make sure that they win at the end. Office politics at the heights. Lots of people who have been working here for 20+ years have HR in their pockets, and run the company like crazy animals. Leaders are always worried and ask their juniors to not show leadership, instead focus on the set of responsibilities given. Onboarding doesnt happen properly. Resources are grossly mismanaged, and the managers do whatever they want - without fear of consequences. If you find yourself working for a manager who has been at Expedia for 15+ years, just run away. If someone has survived here that long, they are at the heights of office politics, and HR will never go against them.

Pros

You will teach yourself great communication skills Hybrid work from home schedule Easy responsibilities

Cons

From when you are hired until you leave, your pay will remain relatively the same. The first year the raise for our team was + $0.25 per hour increase... Benefits primarily appeal to the upper management who can invest in 401K, lower level positions have a very narrow benefits package Mental/emotional health of employees is not a concern of the company I had 8 managers within the first two years of my employment because leadership would leave, transfer to other departments, or be terminated. This inconsistency was paralleled by upper management and the roles that would frequently change. HR violates HIPAA rights of employees and then cycles complaints through endless runarounds and takes no action The company is Expedia, and the business is TRAVEL, and yet you are prohibited from working in other states or countries, and the position is unable to work remotely full-time, despite the only requirements needed is a headset and laptop. The company should be encouraging employees to travel and work all around the world...

Pros

International spirit, you get to work with some truly qualified people (very few)

Cons

- No growth opportunities - Micromanagement at a disgusting level - Mostly incompetent people, because they are focusing only in quantity and not quality - Managers bring their personal problems at work and they spread negativeness - The biggest con is that there was evident bullying and harassment from the leadership, it was reported to managers, very toxic environment in the office and the feedback was not counted at all. The same people that were bullying their colleagues got promoted, even though the behaviour is the same. Feedback reached the highest level of leadership it could reach but favouring incompetent people has always been the case in Expedia!
