Pros

New and clean offices with employee parking spot. Good colleagues.

Cons

Micromanagement, as a result of people being "People managers" that cannot even perfom the basic task of listening to their team. No matter what you say it's always your fault and the managers are very defencive about the company. Even when the mid year or end year review is due they will go as far as putting you in a meeting room and giving you a text to copy paste on the "Anonymous feedback", just so they can present to upper management and shareholders that working in Expedia is amazing and wonderful. They keep firing people due to cutdowns all the time and they have removed almost all benefits. They keep complaining that there is no budget for team building, or even have fruits put out. In Prague offices they now serve Lidl crackers and M&Ms as a benefit instead of the bars and fruits they used to have. The company events are basically non existant now, they had the Xmas "party" done in the kitchen after work between 18:00 and 21:00. They keep boasting about the company numbers and revenue all the time but on the contrary there are no salary increases and absolutely zero chance to ever get promoted, as current managers will wait for the world to end rather than move up or leave the company. The KPIs is another missleading joke that they did not mentioned on the job listing. If you fail to achieve the bonus (which defeats the purpose of it being a bonus for the extra effort you put, here is mandatory) then you are threatened with PIP and then firing. Speaking of the job listing, they recently changed a position title because employees complained that it did not mentioned anywhere that instead of actually account managing as the title was, you are simply cold calling people all day, trying to push them to put discounts on their properties. The management will even dare to say that "We are essentially a call centre here and if you are not willing to go the extra mile, then maybe you will be happier at another company". In my team, they even made all the hiring on the basis that the people who are moving to Prague for the job will be forced to stay and work as slaves because they have nowhere else to go. Management will even threaten and push the team to do 3 times the work of what your contract says because "I can't afford to lose another bonus". I would not recommend the way the company has devolved the last 10 months.

Terrible company, typical toxic corporate environment

Pros

Good benefits, nice office in a good area

Cons

A typical toxic corporate company where no one knows anything (even managers). When you ask for help, they just tell you to read confluence and decide what to do on your own ( and after that you get reprimanded for doing it all wrong). There’s no clarity between area of responsibility of each department. You’re given a basic training during the onboarding process and then just thrown into water to swim on your own. Also, there are a lot of discrepancies between the job description and what they require from you in a real life. They post jobs as entry -level ones with an entry-level pay, however, the expectations from you do not coincide with that. If you’re friends with managers, you gonna be ok. But if the managers don’t like you for some reason, they’ll give you a bad time. Some managers are extremely obsessed with numbers when it comes to those non-sense KPIs Think twice before applying here, I had the same issue and just chose not to believe the reviews. How wrong was I. Some people from my department have left and they were so happy due to the job being extremely stressful. A lot of useless bureaucracy, everything has to go through tons of approvals. They present themselves as a company with a lot of values and don’t follow any of them. Whatever you say in a private conversation will end up being delivered to the manager. So keep your mouth shut. unexperienced students who haven’t worked in a healthy environment and normal companies may find the company ok. Other than that, I doubt you’ll enjoy working there

Pros

Modern office, nice benefits, colleagues you can build deep connection with

Cons

Incompetent leaders. No possibilities to grow. They appreciate your feedback only when you agree with everything they do and don't take any criticism. Unrealistic targets. Micromanagement. Mediocre people get promoted. Rigid working hours, no flexibility.
