Pros

-Beautiful campus -Decent hardware and software -Employees really care -Time off when needed -Health benefits are good -Travel and wellness reimbursements are adequate

Cons

-Constant reorgs and layoffs are stressful and draining; hard to get stuff done when they keep letting go of the institutional knowledge and SMEs -Unless you’re on the hotels or flights team you’re fairly invisible and expendable -Favoritism over results -Hard to get a promotion especially when they keep changing the position requirements

Pros

- There were many when I joined. I struggle to name one now. - Some good teammates remain, though many have left or been pushed out

Cons

The culture has become extremely toxic. There are constant layoffs—more than once a year—and they're not based on performance. Fake business reasons are used to justify them. You may be assigned to a top-priority project only to be laid off shortly after. The new CTO is destroying this company. Don't be fooled by big names in the leadership team—most of them cannot be trusted. They will constantly lie to your face. Employee morale and trust are at an all-time low. There was already high turnover before the layoffs began. They'll tell you they're doing this because of AI and to make the company better, but then they lay off people who work in AI as well. If you decide to join (which would be a huge mistake), pay close attention to your leadership and do not trust them. You can still trust your teammates—for now—but they're creating a hunger-games environment that will soon lead to a backstabbing culture. People managers are being pushed to put employees in the "does not meet expectations" bucket. It's becoming Meta-like toxic without the compensation to match (even though they claim they're improving their packages). Do not join. You can interview with them for practice or to leverage other offers, but do not join Expedia now—you will regret it. There are much better opportunities out there
