Depends on the owner! Good career if you want to own your own business someday, terrible first job.
Pros
You learn an incredible amount of information in a very small amount of time. Every company needs people in order for it to operate. The product that you are selling is perfectly inelastic. You can staff for any company in any industry.
Cons
One word: Franchised. Your entire experience depends on the owner. They say great pay and PTO...false. I was expected to work 50-60 hours/week and come in on weekends for $15/hr and "commission." I was asked how much I wanted to earn before I was hired. The owner laughed at me when I said $40k and told me I needed to dream bigger. I never made more than $35k. There is limited room for advancement. You pretty much have to buy your own office in order advance to a manager role. Good career if you want to own your own business someday, terrible first job.
