Temporary Contract as an Electronics Assembler

Pros

The ladies at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. They did a good job finding me in a position that best matched my skills.

Cons

The wages were low and there were no benefits. Because I was considered a temp, the employer could, without notice, cancel my contract. I felt my job was very precarious. I saw during the one year that I worked as an electronics assembler many other temporary employees lose there job. If I liked the employer I was working for and the employer wanted to keep me, they would have to buy me out from Empress Employment as stated in their contract.

The company was family owned and they were friendly and very easy to work with. They're professional and driven. Business was closed on Sundays.

Cons

I did not receive any benefits, but was awarded with holiday bonus. I did have to work every Saturday, but at the time I had no other engagements to keep me from working on the weekends.
