      Things are disfunctional, but pretty weird

      Pros

      Developers get lots of ownership over your features. Stock options and compensation have been very competitive so far. On the whole, people are friendly.

      Cons

      Corporate culture is bizarre to say the least. Lack of communication is pervasive between teams, individuals, and from management to employees.

      Pros

      Challenging environment, you'll never be bored there's always a lot to learn. Good technology, the capabilities of the FortiGate are amazing

      Cons

      Feature creep, inverse of the capabilities is there are a million ways you can do something and new features are added constantly, keeping up can be challenging Lack of documentation for features, though this has improved it's still not where it needs to be Fortinet is a "cheap" company. Salaries are usually a bit lower on average and expect your expense reports to be gone over with a fine tooth comb

      1. most of R&D employees are Chinese, if you can't speak English well, as long as you are technical savvy, it's a good company for you in North America .

      Cons

      few social activities, actually no kind of company culture, HR should do more work
