Pros

Competitive environment and training is provided

Cons

They promise a lot but what a let down, poor salaries, out of date commission structure. working long hours in general but here you are expected to work overtime every day. No team spirit a lot of friction and a racist environment . You need to appreciate your employees and make them feel special

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry that you did not feel comfortable communicating these frustrations while you were with Glassdoor, but please note I take them quite seriously. We want to provide a welcoming work environment for all, are an equal opportunity employer and have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to discrimination including racism. I’d welcome the opportunity to learn more about your specific experience. If you’re willing to expand, please reach me at Carmel.Galvin@glassdoor.com Thank you.

Pros

Great company culture, management and leadership.

Cons

For this specific role, management could support the team transition into new positions internally, given that this is an entry level position. Sometimes promotion timelines are pushed to longer that promised and it's hard to stay motivated when there is no clear time for the transitions to take place.

This is great feedback and helpful for me personally as I take over leadership of this team. I hope last week’s pathways training was valuable for you and, if you feel comfortable, I’d welcome a discussion about what pathway specifically you’d like to work towards and what career development training you'd find valuable in achieving that goal.

Pros

Glassdoor is still really young - only 8 years old, and much of the growth has happened in the last 2 years. That means that it's easy to make your mark if you've got ideas and experience. The people are smart and friendly. It took me no time at all to build a network here. People are very open to the new programs and changes my team has implemented.

Cons

The location (Mill Valley) is lovely but there are no public transit options... so my commute is not great. Start and end times are super flexible though, so I just tend to come in early and leave early while others come in late and leave late. There is a negative vibe in some corners of the company. My take on this is that some people are not faring as well with all the change and feel left behind.

I’m glad to see feedback like this come in from a member of my own team. As you know, we work hard to make sure people feel like they can really make a difference here, it’s great to know they do. I hear you on commuting, and despite our lovely running trails and unbeatable views I feel it too. Right now our SF office is small but, just like Glassdoor, growing quickly. Having more people in our SF location isn’t out of the question for the future.
