Pros

Everyone is so outgoing and friendly. There is never a dull moment. There is ALWAYS work to be done---- a huge work hard play hard mentality at Glassdoor. So much room for growth at Glassdoor. There is a set track and if you get your work done, you will move up very quickly. Seems to be a lot of guidance

Cons

No 401K Match Yet. Also there is unlimited PTO, but if you take any days off you have an immense amount of prep work before you go and an immense amount of catch up work when you get back.

Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes it feels like there is never a good time to take a vacation. But that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't. I encourage you to work with your manager and create a plan to ensure you're prioritizing your own needs. We don't want burned out and stressed out employees. Balancing it all isn't easy, but it's necessary.

Pros

Great team, great people, great company. Internship is about learning, experiencing, and exploring. Everyday as an intern here at Glassdoor, I could feel the heat of energy and passion; the support from everyone; and the spirit of getting everything down perfectly. I'm very honored to be the first UX/UI Design Intern and learned a lot from everyone on the team. Special thanks to my mentor Jennifer. Thanks for all your kind help and support.

Cons

The office is in Mill Valley, miles north of San Francisco. Commute could be painful if you take public transportation.

Cons

Salary is much lower than national average. Not much interaction with other departments. Location not ideal with flooding sometimes and isolation from other companies.

Thank you for leaving your review of experience on the Glassdoor SDR team. I'm very happy to read that you feel the encouragement to innovate and succeed and that you're excited about the product. In the time that I've been here the product and culture has changed tremendously and always for the better. As you mentioned in your advice section, we definitely need to build on our community as we grow. Back when we were just 50 people we had a similar community feel so hearing that you want this to continue, given that we've grown so much, makes me hopeful. You mention a few things in your cons and I'll try to address them briefly here. First, yes there have been occasional flooding of the entrance to the parking lot of our Mill Valley office. However for all the readers here, I want to clarify that our building is not flooding at all! We are safe and dry. During one period a year, we are sometimes effected by what is called a "king tide" which, combined with rain, sometimes means that during high tide we are temporarily unable to exit the parking lot. Our facilities department has taken steps like setting up tide cameras and alerts to limit the impact on our daily work. One of the benefits though of working so close to the water is that we can have 1:1s while walking around beautiful Mill Valley. As far as your mention about the salary, I imagine that you are referring to the base compensation as opposed to overall compensation, which includes a variable bonus based on achievement to goal. We strive here to set very realistic expectations of compensation for the SDRs who join our team. Part of this transparency starts by setting realistic targets and accelerators that incentivize SDRs to overachieve. So I would say that we are competitive in a very transparent way. We’ve had many SDRs join our team with other offers in hand because they saw growth opportunity here, a learning-based and collaborative sales culture, and a saw the very real possibility to hit and exceed their compensation targets. Now with that said, quota is not easy, and it never should be. Our quota is realistic, challenging and rewarding. In my experience nothing easy ever caused me to grow. I know that SDRs can say that at Glassdoor they've overcome challenges they never knew they could and are a better salesperson because of it. Ok, now my response is getting far longer than I had intended it but I’ll end it with a sincere thank you for the review and for sharing both the positive and constructive. We’re always striving to make this a better place and create an environment where we’re all better together. Thank you, Eric Associate Director Sales Development
