Pros

The people here are smart and, for the most part, not arrogant about it. You work on code that a good proportion of the world uses and benefits from. Your computing resources are amazing. The scope of what Google works on is huge, and mobility between projects is pretty easy. Work-life balance is great. Management is technically savvy and treats their staff with proper care and concern.

Cons

You won't have a WhatsApp level payout day.

Pros

They treat employees very well. Not just be feeding us, but by giving us some degrees of freedom to work on what we want. They pay a lot of attention to employee feedback and actually make changes based on what we say. The technology is amazing and the people here are as smart as they come. More than likely, the "guy who wrote the book on it" works here.

Cons

It isn't as flexible as it used to be. Career advancement can be difficult if you aren't located in the Mountain View Campus.

Pros

Great perks/benefits Opportunities to do impactful work, learn a lot and try different things out all the time. Fun, casual work environment. Working alongside super smart people solving problems that effect billions of people worldwide.

Cons

Demographic skews young and inexperienced. Can be a little chaotic at times, disorganized approach to product development. Easy to get lost in the sea of work that has to be done.
