Pros

The compensation is great, the benefits are great, the office perks are alright if you're into that. There's a union that all employees, temps, and vendors can join called the Alphabet Workers Union (AWU) organized by the Communication Workers of America (CWA).

Cons

Post-COVID and post-layoff forced return to office, driven by executives who unabashedly live in places like New Zealand but command a US-based team. Massive disconnect between priorities of upper management and the engineers who actually do the work. Be prepared to be managed by people who have no idea how to do your job.
