Pros

Best place I've ever worked, not that that's surprising! Smart kind people, interesting work, benefits are beyond amazing, great opportunities to move around and grow, never felt like work-life balance was too out of whack. Imagined I would stay there for a decade.

Cons

Whatever level you come in as - you are going to be stuck there for a bit, even if you're told during your hiring process that you'll progress quickly. It takes minimum 2, often 3 years to get promoted for most people at Google, and promotion is the best way to secure substantial pay raises as end-of-year raises are not always significant, even when you've gotten high ratings.
