- Smart & approachable coworkers - Interesting problems & domains - Unique, proprietary datasets to work with - Fun offices with lots of food - Massive scale (ship to >1B users)
Cons
- Lots of red tape to launching (due to size/scope mostly) - Recently Google has started hiring more management from outside the company instead of promoting from within like they used to - has resulted in a shift in focus toward profit and shininess and away from technical innovation / curiosity-driven exploration.
