Coworkers are generally pretty skilled and hard working compared to other lower tier companies I've been at. Also, the perks and pay are decent.

Cons

There's a lot of people online who claim that the WLB at Google is something super amazing and cushy. Don't believe any of that. In practice from what I've seen, the people here generally work a bit more than I've seen at other places. Your number of CLs submitted and the number of lines of code you write are all tracked and very publicly available for everyone and if you fall below a certain threshold be prepared to get called out, which I haven't quite seen at other places. Also the systems here are usually very convoluted and there's generally a lot of boiler plate and config and setup to get even very basic features implemented and working.
