Pros

1) Food and gyms. 2) Great infrastructure to do incredible things fast. 3) Certain colleagues are incredibly smart and talented.

Cons

1) Work life balance, i.e. none. 2) Terrible bosses, some using intimidation and public humiliation to get their way, others completely overwhelmed by the difference between being a former IC and being a manager. 3) Lots of infighting and politics getting not only in the way of your well-being but more importantly in the way of projects.

Pros

Even though Google is quickly loosing the shine, the company is still full of great people that were attracted here when Google was the best employer.

Cons

No growth prospects, your Manager will only keep telling you how amazing you are. If you are OK with this you might get promoted from Junior to Mid position in ~3 years, and from Mid to Senior in ~5 years. But you will be completely unemployable outside of Google after that.
