Cons

+ Flat org structure makes it hard to move into team lead roles + You have to promote yourself and your work well to get ahead + Not as entreprenuerial of a working environment as a few years ago; more process now

Google Zurich is a wonderful emplyer, with a very good compensation package and equity grants program, awesome perks (gourmet quality free food, wonderful support from facilities staff) and great growth oppurtunities.

Cons

Life as an Expat is tough, and Google has a lot of cultural variance.

I worked here as a technical sourcer on a 1 year contract. Overall, the company is great - not much to complain about when you're getting fed 3 free awesome meals a day + unlimited sushi/smoothie/snacks inbetween. i loved how they allowed you to bring pet dogs to work. love the on site massage, oil changes, author talks, volleyball, etc.

Cons

no room for growth as contractor and management made many empty promises
