Pros

Comfortable office spaces built with humans in mind. Lots of freedom in choosing what to work on. Projects with global impact. Generous budgeting. Opportunities to travel. Managers that know the tech side of the projects.

Cons

With all the smart people around it's not that easy to get promoted.

Pros

At Google there is free food and smart people. The company was large enough that the benefit plans were good.

Cons

I thought the culture was a little alpha-male dominant and could edge out the quieter types. Depending on your manager there could be very little interest in your promotions, etc.
