Take it as an old boys club (MS, Oracle, SAP, in APAC AWS) who replicate their culture within Google. Culture of firedrill which explains the lack of worklife balance. Unless you are a software engineer or senior exec, your pay and career advancement opportunities are limited. It's also a massive company, so your experience depends greatly on which group and manager you have.
