Pros
Google's an amazing company to work for - the perks are incredible, the compensation is top notch, your peers are all smarter than you, there's never a doubt when asking someone to do work *if* they can get it done, the question is how long. You could spend your entire career here and work on a variety of problems.
Cons
The company's bread and butter is advertising and it can feel hard sometimes to move away from that. You hear about amazing projects like self driving cars and solar roof maps, but in practice the day to day can feel like steering an incredibly slow moving ship whose cargo is advertisements and money.
