Pros

I was lucky to meet a good manager. He stays on top of things, cares about the teammates, and values my opinions.

Cons

Google moves too slow. Due to its size, there are a lot of politics, especially at the higher level. The compensation for existing employees is no where near the new hire packages.

Pros

All the good things people say are true--great culture, great pay and benefits, fun projects, awesome offices. New grads who have been there for six months can disagree with people who have been there for ten years and if they're right the person who's been there for ten years will change their mind.

Cons

It's a very big company, so there's a lot of internal tooling to get used to. The learning curve is steep at the beginning and never fully goes away.
