Pros

Working with great people in high placed environment, on solving interesting problems, with great salary and benefits

Cons

In most teams in remote locations (e.g. not California or NYC), it's very hard for a tpm to drive meaningful changes across organizations and therefore create the change needed for cross team impact. Also, a lot of the engineers treat TPMs as people who should do their grunt work, and you need to constantly push back against those.
