Pros

No option to give 0 or negative stars otherwise would have given negative stars. If you are in IT department of HSBC Australia no pros whatsoever, please do not join this department in HSBC Australia unless you don't have any other option

Cons

IT management of HSBC Australia treat software engineers or developers as slaves . Too much micromanagement When recruiting they will say work from home and flexibility stuff but after you join will send emails stating everyone needs to be in ofc by 9 and can leave only after 5 , then will say you cant work from home. Full of helicopter managers who will hover over your head all the time to see when you are taking break , what you are doing etc but not the actual deliverables. Technology used will be that used in the ages of Mughal emperors but Management will expect to devs to deliver stuff that beat competition . Too many managers who don't have any work other than monitoring people ie checking who is going to toilet, who is taking a coffee break etc. Opinion of people who don't even understand basics of software development is valued and heard Partiality and nepotism to the core.
