Pros

If your new to the whole call centre thing, the training academy for 3 months along with full pay is good for gaining knowledge and experience. Good sick pay too, 8 weeks even if you've worked less than a year. Some of the people are nice some of the time.

Cons

Niceness is viewed as a weakness, low pay considering everything you're expected to learn and do, office politics, bullying and victimisation is rife, shady and two faced managers and staff, being pretty much handcuffed to the desk apart from a lunch break once you eventually get allocated one, shift hours are not great, systems are rubbish and slow, brown nosing is the only way to get promoted.

Pros

people say, HSBC had glorious past and had the best culture in the whole banking industry. but have not seen that in 1 year of my experience. not sure why they boast about techs they use 100 years old. Indian senior managers are just like slaves that served British during India rule in 1700's. None would like to go back to the past and would suggest not to go here as nothing to learn new or nothing great about the culture here.

Cons

Everything is pathetic here. Senior mgmt, Business who are old and lethargic and all are here to only survive but not to learn or improve bank.
