      Pros

      Great view out of the office window on a sunny day and very good coffee from the onsite coffee bars

      Cons

      Incompetent management; pace of change is glacial; huge and impenetrable bureaucracy; very political - do what the bosses say or suffer the consequences. The civil service of the banking world which is stuffed with 'lifers' protecting their pensions and the status quo. Good people who aren't afraid to challenge leave quickly because it is so frustrating.

      Historically a good company to work for that looked after it's employees and gave them the opportunity to progress.

      Cons

      Is now the company that brings in short term contractors to pin the blame on because management are incompetent.

      - Hands down experience of working in a huge setup - Lot of learning and travel opportunities

      Cons

      - Bureaucratic in each and every aspect. From promotions to even getting a gate pass - Senior management is clueless, un approachable and all they do is satisfy their massive egos. - HR being the weakest link. They hardly would come out and support you incase you need any help. - No check on promotions, same set of people get two promotions in four years, whereas there is no promotion in the team.
