Worst place I’ve ever worked

Pros

The bonuses they pay are higher than other banks

Cons

Don’t listen to the corporate spin, management all say the right things to give the illusion of a flexible well run workplace, but reality is it’s only talk and nothing gets implemented. Even your benefits aren’t always honoured - There is a huge culture of blame disguised as feedback. You will be accountable for other stakeholders actions despite them not reporting to you - heavy meeting culture I.e. back to back meetings every day resulting in people company wide working til 10pm to just keep up to date. It’s just accepted that you do longer hours - the onboarding is non existent and you have to learn as you go - taking any leave outside of annual leave is a big issue, they will try make you cancel it or only part approve it - sink or swim environment with little support. If you ask for support you are told to problem solve it yourself - blocked calendars are ignored - restructures very often which means job security is an issue - tight budgets (so bonuses aren’t impacted) which means a lot of people are working more than one role for no extra pay I normally read these things and think they are from a disgruntled employee. I am not, but I would like to warn people about the poor culture and illusion they give of being a well run supportive company

Pros

Good work culture, good medical policy insurance. Lots of courses are provided free for personal development.

Cons

Inspite of so much opportunity of learning and personal development, you won't be able to do anything as your entire day will pass on only taking calls. Nobody will give you a proper answer to anything, however if you miss something they will escalate. Every day new policies will come up and you have to be compliant with those policies. For every step you take an approval should be required. This will take your most of the day of your work. Senior management is not adaptive of new ideas. Best part is who works they will keep on working like machine, those who don't work they enjoy. Choice is yours

Pros

It pays good to employees.

Cons

Neither there is no work life balance nor proper allocation of work. One person is working 12 to 15 hours daily and one is not having work of 3 hours in a day.
