Pros

Good work culture, Good pay master though not the best, Good work life balance. Performance driven company. Provides platform to exhibit interpersonal skills.

Cons

A company is only as good as its people and policies. While the policies are quite in place it may not always be easier to find the right people to drive them properly.

Pros

The graduate program is totally worth it. The sky is your limit, especially if your point of hire is in Europe, North and South America as well as Hong Kong to some extent. As far as my knowledge goes, hitherto HSBC Australia is yet to have one and doesn't even acknowledge the program. One of the big loopholes that the Group must solve.

Cons

Office politics is entrenched in some sites, on the upside this is a good place to hone your soft skills. I have a bad experience with how my works and experience were not acknowledged at all in HSBC Australia when I applied for different available roles which were very similar roles with the ones that I've done in couple HSBC's sites.
