Pros

it's a people centric organisation , company has it's vision is right, there is fun at work, and overall the company is concerned about customers and employees upto a certain extent.

Cons

Need to develop a strong meritocracy based reward system. Transparency at senior mangement level will instill confidence in employees and get them to perform better.

Pros

Work environment was great. People with different backgrounds were working together & were treated the same. Other departments were also quite co-operative.

Cons

Very less salary & no promotions. I worked there for 3 years in the same position, though i was the best, even got a team player certificate in the 1st quarter, which is quite sad!

Pros

HSBC is probably the most culturally diverse international banks in the US. Strong international connection. Plenty of internal transfer or job rotation opportunities to broaden your skill set and exposure. Strong focus on values at the high level.

Cons

Deep hierarchy and silo greatly minimizes the effectiveness of the organization. Does not encourage knowledge sharing, making silo effect worse. Lack of consistent business strategy. Too big and too complicated to make it effective.
