Pros

A global company so opportunities are good if interested in working in other countries. It is a strong institution and has a good reputation.

Cons

Positions that are business or financial related which are core business related get respect. All other support positions do not have the same career opportunities.

Pros

No real workpressure - so one can maintain Work-life Balance. Until and Unless you want to take it on yourself to change things - they continue the way they are.

Cons

Laidback attitude of people towards work. No real process improvements in the last so many years. Because of the geographic spread the bank sustains otherwise it would have been the pioneer to initiate the reccession. Salary is meagre - at least in APAC. The attitude of the European counterparts stinks when talking to the workforce in the APAC region (esp Brits) - maybe becoz of their insecurity of losing jobs. The culture of the organisation is not instilled and communicated across the organisation effectively.
