Pros

Henkel has been a transformative place in my professional journey, offering a dynamic and enriching environment that fosters both growth and purpose. The company’s strong commitment to operational excellence is evident in its structured systems like the Henkel Production System (HPS), which emphasizes continuous improvement and people empowerment. Through various roles across sites and functions, I’ve had the chance to lead strategic initiatives, drive lean transformations, and make real impact across the region. Henkel’s support for learning and development has also been a key highlight – from encouraging me to lead cross-country projects and training programs to supporting my MBA studies, the company consistently backs personal and professional growth. One of the most meaningful experiences was relocating to Singapore with my family, a transition that Henkel supported with care and consideration. The organization’s global culture is collaborative, inclusive, and people-centric, allowing for deep connections and shared learning. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible mentors and colleagues whose passion and integrity make each challenge fulfilling and each milestone worth celebrating.

Cons

While Henkel provides a great environment for growth, like any global organization, it comes with its own set of challenges. At times, the complexity of the organizational structure and regional decision-making processes can slow down agility, especially when driving change across multiple countries. Navigating global vs. local priorities requires persistence and strong stakeholder alignment, which can be demanding in high-paced projects. Additionally, while there are many opportunities for development, the recognition and reward system might not always reflect the full extent of one’s contributions, especially in regions with tighter budget controls or different salary structures. Communication across functions and levels can also sometimes be inconsistent, making it essential to be proactive and clear when aligning expectations. Despite these challenges, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive – and I see these cons not as barriers, but as areas for continuous improvement, which I know Henkel is committed to addressing.
