Pros

I've been with Henry Schein for 5 years and I find it amazing how such a large company can make each person feel like a family. We have a strong value proposition with great culture and an amazing leadership team. It's not about time in seat at Henry Schein, but about working hard and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Cons

5 years ago I would have said technology, but we are making investments that area and moving forward at a quick pace.

Pros

I don't think there is one

Cons

Extremely toxic environment to work in. They will constantly give you more to do without increasing your pay, which is already way, way, way below industry standards (so much so they were required to give everyone a pay increase by regulators and promised it wouldn't affect pay raises, but they froze all pay raises afterwards). When we were made to go home for the pandemic, things improved, until management started shifting and numbers were dropping. Suddenly things got even worse than before. From day one I had problems with management, one of them got fired for because of the harassment to me and others, but the dial went to 11. We were told to stop complaining about anything, and the last straw was when they called the police for a "Mental Health Check" on my home when there was a VPN error, unbeknownst to me, and they "couldn't reach" me for two hours. They tried to call my wife's number, but she was at work and said I was home as far as she knew, but they still called the police. I had SIX OFFICERS WITH GUNS DRAWN CIRCLING MY HOUSE ON MY LUNCH BREAK! I opened to the door to an AR-15 pointed at my face! What was the company's reaction to this? "Well, that's our policy." I find this strange as the last time they didn't get a hold of me, when I was in the hospital after a severe injury (we'll get to that) they didn't call the police to circle my home. I was injured very badly and unconscious in the hospital for a day and a half. I received a phone call on the second day, when I was finally awake, and told them what happened. I was told I needed to come in to work the next day. Against my doctor's orders, I checked myself out of the hospital, had the medical paperwork they provided me to get out of work, and i was given a FINAL NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT! I should have quit then, rather than a year later. Management showed extreme favoritism and racism. Political topics were forced down your throat, and if you were part of the flavor of the week group they wanted to exploit, you better get involved or you'd be constantly told how disappointed they were with you for not getting them the social credit they craved. CEO is only interested in lining his own pockets, not the well being of the employees. The last Schein to run the company passed a while ago, and it's been down hill ever since.

Pros

Lovely new office in a central location with free parking. People genuinely care for each other. Working from home on occasions is great and wonderful office team environment.

Cons

Staffing ration to work load is not balanced, similar to working in a dental practice.
