Pros

Your co-workers are all smart and have high integrity.

Cons

Honeywell drives to lower costs and eliminate workers to the point of hurting itself by simply not having enough resources to make all of the money on the table. It seems this is a construct of conglomerates where they starve some entities of resources knowing that not only is it a miserable place to work, but in the high level viewpoint, it maximizes the profitability of the portfolio. It does however seem that the high level sets a vision on inputs (investment money and people) overall to hit a certain target profitability. However this method ignores the ability to input more into a given business to get more profits from this AND it ignores the human implications which are real. Meaning, if I remove a chair from an office, the other chairs continue to function as normal. Humans are not chairs. Particularly in older R&D driven companies, all of the remaining humans are affected when other humans are abruptly removed. Some of the humans that the company would like to keep leave, and others care a lot less about their jobs. These costs never seem to be calculated.

Avoid at all costs

Pros

Absolutely nothing. The cost benefit of working at Honeywell is in the trenches. You may possibly get a competitive salary but you will truthfully put in more hours at this job then any you can imagine.

Cons

Finance is the central guard here. Finance teams are constantly stretched thin with impossible asks and due dates. The systems at Honeywell have mapping issues so questions that come up are always seen and asked through different lenses. Upper management works you to the ground and does not take any feedback from the voice of employee scores and actions them. Attrition is through the roof so you are always on a “stretch assignment”. Training in anyway, shape or form is non existent. When people leave here, they run out of the door leaving the next person to come in the opportunity to learn from scratch. The problem is that you will get no time to do so. Please believe me when I say this…avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

Good salary as long as you keep your job

Cons

There is a lot of tell the boss what they want to hear attitude with plenty of micro management top-down. Toxic work culture. Weekends and late night working is routine. People in non-US locations get no regard for their time, vacation or weekends from staff in the US who have poor cross-cultural sensitivity. Covid-19 pressures have increased management anxiety and confusion resulting in proudly quoted "micro management" such as daily report the number of sales calls, speak to each seller everyday, several C-level management reviews and a few yelling matches. Lot of good people have left. Honeywell Connected Enterprise is a joke - they relabel the old company's legacy and claim credit for destroying and trying to rebuild it. Poor diversity in both nationality and gender. Lack of inclusion.
